1:1 With My Bonsai Fig

Had my 1:1 with the bonsai today. It was a bushy tangle a few months ago and i knew this day would eventually arrive. It’s not dead, just went through a heavy handed prune and shed a few leaves with the winter frosts.

I think life sometimes needs to shed off the excess crap to regain clarity. It felt good to cut off the superflous dead branches today. It’s not good to have too many things going on at once, so this plant seems to be reflecting a state of new beginnings ahead in the game of life. Looking forward to seeing things get bushy again.

I’ve transplanted a few tulips & also dug out the giant jonquils to the side of the carport. Loking forward to the next year ahead and there’s still more spring flowering surprises on the way.
